Ms. Universe 2008

I've been thinking of something to feature on my blog. I wanted to post something that's new and interesting. And this was what cracked outta my head.. Ms. Universe 2008 which was held at Nha Trang, Vietnam..

Four of the Final Five came from Latin America namely Miss Mexico, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Colombia and Miss Venezuela. Well I guess Latina's are really the world's most beautiful race. haha! Completing the Five was Ms. Russia.

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was crowned Miss Universe 2008 at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She wore a beautiful yellow night gown when given the 18K white and yellow gold crown, which was valued at $120,000. She is the 57th Miss Universe. Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori of Japan enters the stage with elegance and beauty with her unique choice of outfit making her the first Ms. Universe to pass a crown in pants and not the traditionally worn long gown.

The Best in National Costume Award was given to Miss Universe 2008 contestant Gavintra Photijak of Thailand.





Miss Congeniality was awarded to Rebeca Moreno of El Salvador.
