Obama says change needed as McCain derides TV ad

SUNRISE, Fla. – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama plunked down $4 million for a campaign-closing television ad Wednesday night and summoned voters to "choose hope over fear and unity over division" in Tuesday's election. Republican John McCain derided the event as a "gauzy, feel-good commercial," paid for with broken promises.

"America, the time for change has come," Obama said in the final moments of the unusual ad, a blend of videotaped moments and a live appearance before thousands in Sunrise, Fla.

"In six days we can choose an economy that rewards work and creates jobs and fuels prosperity starting with the middle class," Obama said.

The 30-minute ad, aired on CBS, NBC, Fox and several cable networks, came days from the end of a race in which Obama holds the lead in polls nationally and in most key battleground states as he bids to become the first black president.

Emo

Something just popped into my mind as I laid in my bed and thought about the empty space beside me. As I reached my hand to cover the space I realized that I was with no one but I. This aloneness may have dragged the word ‘emo’ into my system. With no one to talk to and instead of indulging myself to mere introspection, I opted to make use of writing as the mode of expressing the thoughts lingering at the back of my mind. These seems to be the questions that bothers me a lot: When can you consider yourself as an emo or getting emo? Can i be considered as one of those emo people in this world despite the fact that i currently have a happy relationship with a steady boyfriend? What does emo really mean? When does emo really apply? Is emo applicable only for lonely singles who seek attention and care or can it be used to describe anyone who feels like expressing their emotions?

Dancing on the Star: Starring Tank, T.O., and a guy named Rock

After the Redskins won the final game they'll ever play in Texas Stadium, Redskins running back Rock Cartwright pulled a page out of the Terrell Owens playbook and celebrated in the middle of the big blue star at midfield. Cartwright's grand contribution to the Redskins win was three kick returns for 71 yards.

Dallas defensive tackle Tank Johnson didn't care for it, and, says Jason La Canfora of the Redskins Insider, had to be restrained from laying the smackdown on the Rock.
